Abstract

CoCrFeNiCu high-entropy alloy coating (HEAc) was firstly prepared on the surface of Q235 steel by induction cladding. The microstructure of HEAc was dual-phase face-centered cubic (FCC) structure, that is, Cu-depleted FCC1 phase and Cu-rich FCC2 phase. The average hardness of HEAc was 224 HV, which was higher than that of Q235 steel (159 HV). Compared with Q235 steel, HEAc exhibited good wear performance and weight loss decreased by 74.2%. Electrochemical tests showed that the corrosion resistance of HEAc was better than that of Q235 steel. In addition, the high-temperature oxidation resistance of HEAc was superior to Q235 steel.
