Abstract

The influence of graphene oxide on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ceramic composites that are based on boron carbide and produced by spark plasma sintering is considered. For composites produced with the optimal addition of graphene oxide (0.5 vol %), in the given sintering conditions (Tsi = 1950°C, Pmax = 80 MPa, and tres = 10 min), the density and mechanical properties are very good.
