Abstract
An in-situ dual morphology Ti8C5/TiB2 reinforced TiAl composite (DMTTC) is prepared by adding the inoculant which is prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS). In DMTTC, Ti8C5 whiskers/nanoparticles and TiB2 nanoparticles have a synergistic strengthening effect on TiAl alloy. In addition, this paper further discusses the synergistic strengthening mechanism of DMTTC.
