Abstract

In the last few years, the integration of graphene oxide (GO) into the cementitious matrix has evolved as one of the most well-known inclusion of nanomaterials. The paper addresses the advancement of GO research including the microstructure modifications of GO-modified cement-based materials. The effects of GO were evaluated based on the results of the related researches using different microstructural test methods. The use of GO in scientific disciplines like construction materials technology has made substantial progress. It demonstrates promising outcomes of using GO to develop innovative construction materials. However, further research is needed for future developments.
