Abstract

The sequence distribution of poly(dimethylsilapropynylene-codiphenylsilapropylenes) obtained by polycondensation of Si(Ph) 2 (C≡CLi) 2 with SiMe 2 Cl 2 is studied. It is shown that the silylethynyl units are randomly distributed within the copolymere cyclic and linear chains at equilibrium. The polycondensation mechanism is discussed on this basis
