Abstract
Membrane Fouling In article number 2100395, Mao Wang, John Wang, and Jianwen Jiang unravel the important effects of surface chemistry and roughness on membrane fouling. With increasing surface roughness, fouling is revealed to reduce on alumina surfaces but enhance on graphene surfaces. The microscopic insights would be useful for the design of new membranes toward high-performance water treatment.
