Abstract

The inelastic response of a system is a fundamental physical quantity, since it contains important information about the dynamics of the system. A deeper understanding can be obtained studying in a microscopic way the responses of the system to different external excitations. We investigate the six-body nuclear systems, i.e. the 6Li and 6He nuclei, with respect to electromagnetic E1, C0 ad C2 excitations. To this aim we make use of the Lorentz Integral Transform (LIT) method [1] and of the recently developed Effective Interaction approach in the Hyperspherical Harmonics formalism (EIHH) [2].
