Abstract

The objective of the present work was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Efficient Microorganisms (EM) the yield of the cultivation of broad beans (Vicia faba) Variety. In a DBCA with 4 blocks and 4 treatments, with a total population of 1440 plants, 90 plants for each experimental plot, 15 plants per sample. The ANDEVA and the DUNCAN test were used at the 5% level of significance. The results T2 (1 ½ L ME / 20 L. Water), per experimental net area was 8,150 kg / green pod plot whose estimated value is 13 583 kg / ha; that is, 13.58 t / ha. Regarding the green grain yield with the T2 dose (1 ½ L ME / 20 L. Water), per experimental net area was 3.812 kg / plot whose estimated value is 6350 kg / ha, that is, 6.35 t / he has; statistically surpassing the other treatments and the control. In the number and weight of pods / plant, T2 registers averages of 42.90 pods and 627.17 g respectively; Similarly, for the number and weight of grains / plant, T2 occupies the first place with 67.04 grains and 257.94 g; in both treatments T3 and T1 with 238.83 g and 236 g. Key words: EM 1, bacteria, fungi, yeasts, actinomycetes
