Abstract

This contribution describes the femtosecond laser ablation and mechanical characterization of small samples of skeletal muscles. Categories of tissue damage are defined and stiffness values related to the different states of deterioration. The stiffness values are obtained by tactile measurements with micromechanical force sensors and will be applied to the development of force-sensitive micro grippers for the characterization of biological tissues.
