Abstract
A new micromagnetic approach for multilayered films for magneto-optic (MO) recording has been developed. The model takes into account both the magnetization distribution from layer to layer along the film normal and the splitting into domains. This model is a generalization of the domain growth model, developed for amorphous films of ferrimagnetic alloys [2]. Here we present the basic ideas of the model and discuss some results of simulations on Fe/Tb-multilayers as well.
