Abstract

The ground states and magnetization process of the triangularly-shaped nanoelements formed by monolayer nanosphere lithography were simulated by micromagnetic formalism. Micromagnetic ground states were presented in the form of a micromagnetic phase diagram with four regions corresponding to in-plane single domain, out-of-plane ferromagnetic, Y-state, and vortex configurations. Micromagnetic simulations showed that it was harder to switch the magnetization of triangularly-shaped nanoelements than that of equilateral triangular prisms for the same lateral size larger than 50 nm
