Abstract
Microlicia wurdackiana from the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil is described, illustrated, and compared with presumed relatives, most of which are also restricted to the state of Bahia. It is distinguished by its short internodes, orbicular-elliptic leaf blades, indumentum of simple spreading trichomes and resinous-punctate glands, subsessile flowers, and polysporangiate anthers. A conservation assessment based on IUCN criteria is also provided.
