Abstract
In recent years, with advances in development of materials science and micro-electro-mechanical-systems, the frontiers of devices for laboratory medicine are pushed toward miniaturization, integration, and automation. The microfluidic biosensors, which combine advantages of microfluidics and biosensor technologies, are particularly eye-catching and show enormous potential for future applications in laboratory medicine. Here, the characteristics and technical principles of microfluidic biosensors and their application in molecular diagnosis are briefly reviewed.(Chin J Lab Med, 2018, 41: 634-637) Key words: Microfluidics; Biosensing techniques; Molecular diagnostic techniques
