Abstract
Abstract Microclusters of dipoles free to reorient on a fixed symmetrical system of sites are considered. Here the treatment is limited to planar non-centered systems. The following conjectures are proposed : The extrema and saddles of the energy in the angular configuration hyperspace belong either to the site symmetry group, or its subgroups, or their derived black-white groups, Identity being excluded. These conjectures are verified by calculations in the case of two-and three-dipole microclusters.
