Abstract
The recent trend in organic microchemical training is discussed. A new course in general organic microtechniques has been added to the postgraduate curriculum at New York University for the benefit of the organic research chemist who has to work with minute quantities of material. The course includes both the classicalEmich techniques and the modern methods of micro separation, identification, and synthesis.
