Abstract

Bacteria are the most common cause of caries, that can lead to pulpal involvement and eventually the tooth will need endodontic treatment if it must be saved. The complete elimination of bacteria is paramount to the success of root canal treatment. Retreatment of failed RCT is also a common scenario. The bacteria present in the failed endodontic cases are different form initial treatment cases. Also, the various irrigants and procedures of cleaning and shaping are also important for complete elimination of the bacteria
