Abstract
The microbiological transformation of ent-19-hydroxyatis-6,16-diene into 3α,7β-dihydroxyatisenolide and 7β,18-dihydroxyatisenolide, and of ent-atis-6,16-dien-19-oic acid into 7β-hydroxyatisenolide, 3α,7β-dihydroxyatisenolide and 7β,18-dihydroxyatisenolide, using the fungus Gibberella fujikuroi have been carried out. The substrates have been prepared from gummiferolic acid.
