Abstract

The application of 4, 5-dihydroisoxazoles in organic synthesis has been subject of significant reasearch in recent years. This interest is stimulated mainly by high ability of these compounds in the biotransformation processes leading to optically active compounds.Several 4, 5-dihydroisoxasoles have therefore been prepared in using aliphatic nitryl oxide generated from nitroethane and 1, 2-substituted alkens — α, β-unsaturated ketones and carboxylic acid esters.
