Abstract
Checkerspot, one of C&EN’s 10 Start-Ups to Watch in 2018, has raised $55 million in a series C financing round led by ArrowMark Partners and supported by Cox Enterprises. The company, which is headquartered in California, derives polyols from microalgae- based oils. These polyols are made into polyurethanes used in its WNDR Alpine line of skis and snowboards.
