Abstract
Fossil fuel resources are diminishing day by day. Biodiesel fuels are attracting increasing attention worldwide as direct substitutes for diesel fuel in diesel engines. Among the biodiesel sources, Microalgae have been tested as a potential feedstock for biofuel age in current time inferable from its rich vitality content, swelled development rate, modest culture draws near, the remarkable limit of CO2 obsession, and O2 expansion to the earth. This paper reviews recent advancement in microalgae biodiesel as far as its oil extraction methods, creation of biodiesel from microalgae oil and its fuel properties. At long last, the paper talks about the presentation and ignition investigation of diesel engine fueled with microalgae biodiesel.
