Abstract

As the need for disseminating and gathering information increases, so too does the need for distributed telecommunications networks. Maintaining control is the primary concern to the user of these networks. Cost-effective operation through network management, maintenance and user access are what the equipment and service vendors must provide. This article describes how micro earth station technology has answered the demand for distributed data applications.
