Abstract
Advanced structures have to withstand high, dynamic loads. High load levels in high performance CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics) structures requests the knowledge of the fatigue behaviour, a key property for structure mechanical design. With respect to the specific properties of CFRP the measurement and the correlation of micro cracking with the stress state is essential for the description of damage accumulation and fatigue behaviour.
