Abstract

Micrasta is a card game for use as an aid in teaching microbial systematics. The game is based on the construction of named micro-organisms drawn from a collection of cards carrying a range of characteristics. This paper describes the cards and gives the rules for playing two versions of the game which is loosely based on Canasta. The efficacy of Micrasta is discussed.
