Abstract
L’A. publie en trois volets distincts des extraits de son ouvrage Iraq after the Muslim Conquest (publie en 1984 a Princeton et deja reimprime in toto par Gorgias Press en 2006), concernant trois minorites : les juifs (p. 306-331), les chretiens et ceux qu’il designe comme les arameens. L’A. montre le developpement des communautes juives dans cette region, mais aussi leur integration avec les populations arameennes et leur implication dans la vie politique, administrative et sociale.
