MICE산업의 사회문화적 파급효과 연구

Abstract

MICE industry is an industrial area that the world is paying attention to as it has positive economic and social and cultural impacts on related industries. However, research has been focused on analyzing economic ripple effects in order to calculate the ripple effects of the MICE industry. The economic ripple effect alone is hard to say as the overall ripple effect of MICE industry, and it can be said that the importance of MICE industry is undervalued. Therefore, the research analyzed prior studies related to social and cultural impacts at domestic and abroad for the analysis of the ripple effects of the undervalued MICE industry. In addition, the factors related to MICE industries were extracted by analyzing the components of social and cultural impacts derived through analysis and then grouped the main factors involved in MICE industries to distinguish them. Since then, experts have conducted an AHP analysis to apply the social and cultural impacts category of the MICE industry to the actual conditions of the domestic MICE industry. The AHP analysis was conducted on domestic exhibition and convention industry experts and workers. As a result, we could find a different perspective on the Social and Cultural Impacts of the exhibition and convention industries. The exhibition placed a relatively important emphasis on urban PR effects and social and cultural asset sharing, and a relatively high emphasis on the sharing of knowledge of conventions and the revitalization of the community of residents' participation. Through this study, we were able to demonstrate the high value-added value of MICE industries through various applications in a broader range than economic ripple effects. In addition, the importance of measuring and utilizing the ripple effects of MICE industries was known. Finally, it is expected that the status of the undervalued MICE industry can be newly established by analyzing the actual performance of the MICE industry through objective measurement. It is expected that the research data on social and cultural ripple effects of MICE events and analysis related to social and cultural ripple effects of MICE events should be conducted in depth to reflect opinions of various stakeholders.
