Long-distance education is a way to provide an educational experience independent of time and place. This type of education is very useful for individuals who are in all levels of higher education, including further education in industry. Long-distance education students can continue their education from anywhere using the current communication tools and necessary resources available to them. The University of Florida has provided both opportunities and information about long-distance education programs. Online courses in manufacturing engineering and computer control of machines and processes provided by the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department are mentioned in this paper. Course issues discussed include course objectives, topics, and desired program outcomes for Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering, exam policy, and grading. As a result of qualitative research, students' opinions as well as surveys were used to make a general assessment of the program
