Abstract
Heat transfer in rotating, incompressible viscous ?‡uid near an in?…nite ver-tical plate that applies a time-dependent shear stress f(t) with ramped wall temperatureis investigated. Closed form exact solutions of the dimensionless governing equations alongwith imposed initial and boundary conditions are determined using the Laplace transformtechnique. These solutions are uncommon in literature and can generate exact solutions forany motion of problem with technical relevance of this type. The e?¤ects of di?¤erent systemparameters, such as Ekman number, Grashof number, Prandtl number, magnetic numberand time on the velocity is examined in detail. Its in?‡uence on the ?‡uid motion is graphicallydisplayed. Some special cases together with particular cases are considered.
