Abstract

Total cross-section measurements have been made of the /sup 26/Mg( p, n)/sup 26/Al reaction, with separate measurements of the cross sections to the first two excited states of /sup 26/Al from threshold to E/sub cm/ = 5.6 MeV. Thermally averaged reaction rates are tabulated over the temperature range 0.1< or =T/sub 9/< or =10 for the inverse reactions, /sup 26/Al(n, p)/sup 26/Mg, with the three lowest states of /sup 26/Al as ''targets,'' and compared to rates calculated on a statistical model.
