Abstract

The domain structure of planar CoNi microparticles with the square shape has been studied under mechanical stress. An array of CoNi particles was formed on the surface of thin polished glass by electron beam evaporation. After studying the initial magnetization distribution, the particles were strained along one side due to bending of the substrate. It is shown that the change in the domain structure of CoNi particles depends on the degree of its tension.
