Abstract

The article presents the short characteristic of airplanes self-protection systems in which the main task in detection and recognition of electromagnetic sources (radars, emitters) in frequency band from 1 to 18 GHz play the radar warning receivers (RWRs). The quality of self- protection systems depend on mainly from capacity and timely of data emitter base which in the essential way influences on the process of threats classification and identification. The article contains the basic mathematical formulas indispensability to calculate the radar metric for measured signal parameters for RWR data base needs. The calculation results of radar metric for two example parameters are presented in the tables and on the corresponding figure. The results of emitter recognition on the base of simulation data for different metrics are also presented. (The radar signature for data base needs in airplanes self protection systems)
