Abstract
In a recent article, Bisogno etal. reported in a randomized trial that addition of metronomic maintenance therapy (MMT) with vinorelbine plus cyclophosphamide for children with rhabdomyosarcoma resulted in a significant increase in overall and event-free survival. Although the mechanism of action remains to be fully elucidated, this study paves the way for further evaluation of MMT as a potential therapeutic strategy in pediatric patients with high-risk disease.
