Abstract

The modern state of measurements of magnetic losses and their metrological support is briefly reviewed. The reasons of the wide propagation and the high effectiveness of using standard samples of magnetically soft materials are explained. The state of standardization in this form of measurements is characterized and the future trend of the development of the measurement chain is demonstrated.
