Abstract

The paper discusses the reasons for disagreement of the consumers and suppliers of fuel. The relative errors of working gas chromatographs and calorimeters are compared as used for determining the heat of combustion of natural gas. Metrological specifications are drawn up for the quality of natural gas and the level of standard, reference, and working gas chromatographs. Recommendations are made on elimnating the disagreements relating to natural gas. Ways are indicated of increasing the accuracy in determining the heat of combustion and relative density of natural gas.
