Abstract
An important measure for raising production quality consists of improving the factory metrologieal service by establishing on the basis of disjointed metrological laboratories a main department of the service, namely, the Central Measuring Equipment Laboratory (TsLIT). The factory metrological service does not deal with metrology alone. It also incorporates technologists, designers, instrument-makers, the personnel of the Technical Control Division (OTK) and of the chief power engineer's department, etc.
