Abstract

The authors review literature on the reliability of thermometers, thermocouples, thermoelectric converters, and other types of temperature monitors used in nuclear power plants, as well as the calibration standards set for them. They construct a statistical modeling procedure for assessing the data and determining the allowable and actual margins of error for the instrumentation.
