Abstract

This article presents an overview of metro planning and construction in China. Details of site monitoring and construction of new sections for the Beijing metro, and of the Shanghai experimental metro tunnel construction are given. Experience shows that site monitoring is very important in urban metro tunnel construction for controlling ground losses and surface subsidence. Grouting techniques used on the Beijing metro have shown that by strengthening the ground, ground surface subsidence can be controlled effectively. Cet article présente une discussion de l'organisation et de la construction de métros en Chine. Des détails sont donnés sur l'instrumentation de sites et la construction de nouvelles section du métro de Pékin, ainsi que sur la construction du tunnel expérimental pour le métro de Shanghai. L'éxpérience montre que l'instrumentation des sites est très importante lors de la construction d'un tunnel de métro en zone urbaine afin de contrôler les portes de terrain et l'affaissement de la surface. les techniques d'injection utilisées pour le métro de Pékin ont montré que l'affaissement de la surface pouvait être contrôlé efficacement par un renforcement des terrains.
