Abstract

The paper provides an overview of modern methodological approaches that are used in landslide susceptibility and hazard assessment. The degree of application of the methods, depending on the purpose of the assessment, the size of the exploration area, and the quality of the input data is also shown. Each of the mentioned methods has its advantages and disadvantages. Some of it having a greater subjective influence, while with more advanced methods such as statistical methods, machine learning methods and deterministic methods, subjectivity is reduced to a minimum.
