Abstract

Education in Indonesia today is still fairly conventional because learning is still centralized to the teacher. This is an obstacle for students to be able to assume responsively. The purpose of the research is to find out how the effect of the application of the STD method on the level of student understanding of the material "International Economic Cooperation". This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods and pre-experimental design. The subjects of the research were 11th grade students from one of the high schools in the city of Bandung and a total sample of 8 people. The method of accumulating information through pretests and posttests using the kahoot application to determine the level of student understanding, as well as providing questionnaires with a Likert scale to students as a form of student response to the application of the STD method. The research results prove that the application of the STD method has a significant effect on the level of student understanding simultaneously and partially on the material "International Economic Cooperation".
