Abstract

The ancient Indian Ayurveda system dependent on herbal folk medicine for their primary health cares, and having deep faith in it, tribal and rural area of Indian continent and subcontinent, embedded with enormous medicinal plants, among which Cassia fistula Linn is one of the well- known, Labernum plant. In the present review, attempt has been made for in-depth analysis, to explore the botanical, phytochemical, pharmacological properties of the plant, which will be beneficial and great contribution in modern system of herbal medicine for new drug development.
