Abstract
Methyl 3-iso-cucurbate was found to inhibit the stem elongation (bolting) of Qing geng cai (Brassica rapa var. chinensis) plants. Furthermore, its application did not induce leaf senescence and showed no acute toxicity against killifish. Therefore, it is a potential bolting inhibitor for winter annual crops, such as Qing geng cai.
