Abstract
The racemic title compound, C9H10Br2N2O3, crystallizes as an inversion twin with two symmetry-independent molecules in the asymmetric unit; these are linked into pseudo-centrosymmetric dimers by intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Weaker N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link these dimers into two-dimensional layers parallel to the ab plane.
