Abstract

To the Editor: Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA) and pityriasis lichenoides chronica (PLC) are rare papulosquamous disorders.1 While PLEVA/PLC can relapse and remit, persistent cases may warrant therapy.1 Methotrexate (MTX) has been investigated previously in 13 pediatric PLEVA/PLC patients (100% response rate), 6 PLEVA patients (100% complete resolution), and 4 PLEVA patients (0% response rate).1-4 We evaluated MTX for PLEVA/PLC in 33 patients.
