Abstract

The problem of the research is stated by the neccessity of modern school student’s communication skills developing on the high level. The problem concerns the question of searching the effective instrument for this problem solving. The aim of the considered research is the invention of methods of teaching secondary school students the Russian language dealing with students’ communication skills developing. The research’s methodology is based on systemically-active approach to teaching, competence-based approach and learner-centered approach to teaching, theses of communicative and pragmatic approach to language studying. The following research methods were used: systemic method, typological method, participant observation method. The methods of teaching secondary school students speech strategies and tactics in extra-curricular activities of the Russian language as a school subject while creating school newspaper are suggested as the main research result. Scientific novelty of research results consists of theses of the invented methods of teaching: students’ communication skills are being developed by teaching speech strategies and tactics; teaching is being organized during creating of a school newspaper. Theoretical significance of the research results is based on the proposed principles of teaching speech strategies and tactics, methods of students’ communication skills developing, types of situations of communication which are important while writing texts for a school newspaper. Practical significance of the research results is based on the invented set of exercises aimed at mastering schoolchildren’s speech strategies and tactics. Key research findings: process of teaching is carried out taking into account adolescents’ communicative age-related needs; process of teaching is modelled on the base of the parameters of the speech strategies; process of teaching includes the forming of the variety of communication skills; process of teaching simulates newspaper editorial office’s working process; the main method of teaching is a play-based method. The proposed methods of teaching provides the developing of a wide variety of students’ communication skills and communication universal learning skills.
