Abstract

Superimposition of vessels and foreshortening of the proximal left anterior descending coronary artery can be diminished by 1) a single plane cine technique with the patient elevated, 2) a lateral cine technique with an angled beam, 3) a cut film technique with a horizontal beam which reveals any layering effect of contrast material, and 4) by angling a U-arm or the patient into position.
