Abstract

Abstract Office automation (OA) technology is an investment that can provide an organization with both tangible and intangible benefits. To prove the existence of these benefits, MIS managers must evaluate OA's advantages to justify the costs of this technology. This article describes some applications of office automation and offers cost/benefit analysis methods that best quantify their value.
