Abstract
Abstract Advances in molecular biology and genetics have played significant roles in the development of biopharmaceutical products. Novel approaches such as host system, protein purification, and characterization techniques have been developed to increase the capacity, efficiency, and safety of biopharmaceuticals. This article focuses on systems available for production of biopharmaceuticals and the approaches to introducing new technologies into the drug development process.
