Abstract

I shall be glad if in this discussion I am successful in impressing upon you three big points in effective extension teaching. These are (1) effective extension teaching influences people to change. This means far more than telling and showing, (2) learning is a habit forming process and extension teaching must be so planned that people form new habits, (3) people will only learn these new habits if they feel that the thing you offer satisfies certain wants.There is need for better extension teaching, for more effective methods. The point of view which must be given increasing recognition is that extension teaching to be effective must do more than merely tell or show people. Effective teaching must definitely influence people, move them to change. Learning is change and only the most skillful teaching will move people to make changes in practices or habits.I cannot argue you into better .
