Abstract

Model of the natural geological environment reflects all the important characteristics of the natural geological environment that are relevant to specific aspects of the problem that is studied or addressed. It represents a synthesis of the results of detailed field measurements and surveys, laboratory analysis, complex geophysical research and application of methods of mathematical statistics and probability theory. Usually this method is used for the design of high dams, but this paper presents a good opportunity for this method to be promote for the exploration of mineral resources and the design of surface mines. The results of the tested parameters with different types on investigations usually show on engineering-geological sections and engineeringgeological models. To get to the stage on modeling on natural geological environment i.e. before we can produce engineering-geological sections and models, we must be well acquainted with the geological and engineering-geological characteristics of the area investigating. Model of the natural geological environment are made in the form of engineering geological sections (EGC) and engineering geological models (EGM). Engineering geological cross sections are made by different investigated parameters of the rock mass during the survey received a greater number of data (numeric or descriptive). In this particular case made engineering geological cross sections of three investigated parameters : • Lithology parameter • Cracking parameter • Physical-chemical disintegration (quasi homogeneous zones) Obtained engineering-geological models actually represent more parametric representation of condition of rocky massif, i.e. not made separate models for each parameter but on one common model are presented all tested parameters. The engineering-geological model clearly reflects all the important properties of the natural geological environment that are relevant to specific aspects of the problem being addressed.
