Abstract
A questionnaire was sent to all participating countries of the EC project Cost 641 “Organic micropollutants in the aquatic environment”. Information was asked about the analysis of 129 priority pollutants in water which are mentioned in the EC publication sheet, number C 176, July 14, 1982. From six countries, namely Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway and Yugoslavia information was obtained. For 27 of the 129 priority pollutants an analytical method was not available. In future especially attention has to be given to the development of analytical methods for these compounds. For all priority pollutants confiramation criteria had to be stated.
