Abstract

SUMMARY The object of this paper is to collect and discuss some of the existing methods of calculating supersonic aerodynamic flutter coefficients and to exhibit a new method for evaluating certain associated integrals. The eight real and imaginary parts of the coefficients are expressed in terms of Mach Number and reduced frequency (co) by means of convergent series involving the sine and cosine of co. It is thought that this paper will be of value to engineers engaged in supersonic flutter anabasis.
